Trying to find a reliable VPN for Android but the Play Store is full of random apps that seem shady with excessive permissions and suspicious reviews. Right now I’m mostly looking at NordVPN, Surfshark, and ProtonVPN since they’re the more established options. I mainly want something for safer public WiFi use and streaming US Netflix while traveling. Battery usage matters too because I’ve heard some VPN apps drain phones pretty badly. For people using VPNs daily on Android, which one has been the smoothest experience? Any options that don’t kill battery life? Also curious if anyone here has used smaller providers like Mullvad on Android.
