International flight with 6 mo old - best times?!

This group is so helpful as I try to navigate our first international trip! I’m struggling with flights times. I understand it’s best to keep him close to his natural rhythms, routine and sleep times. The tricky part is that we are booking with miles and therefore can’t be as picky.

Would love any advice here. The flight that meets our needs best departs at 9:45P and his bedtime is typically 7:00. Help 🫠😭

Brussels Air old configuration

Has anyone had experience flying Brussels Air A330-300 Biz class? I’m aware that it is an older configuration (not suites)

We are pretty locked in on dates due to a speaking commitment in BCN, redemption options are not awesome. We have a 6 mo old so we would prefer biz class. I’m wresting with the ease of flying straight to BCN and flying a non preferred airline or a flight on a preferred airline at a less than ideal value (no one wants to burn points when there is a better value)

Our rip cord option is fly into CDG or LHR for a better redemption but it adds travel complexity with a baby. 🤔

Intl trip w/6 month old - car seat?!

We will be traveling to London, Barcelona and Paris next month and I am not sure how to approach the car seat dilemma. We will not be renting our own car this trip, but mostly just taxis with babe to and from airports.

My initial thought was to rent a doona, but he’s on the larger end for his age and don’t think he would be comfy in it as a stroller option. I really don’t want to take our car seat. It’s a lot for the minimal use.

What have others done? Help 😬
