Update: the flies have returned!
A month ago, I posted in this subreddit a question for dealing with a fly infestation in my home, so here’s an update for you all: they have returned.
And they returned with a vengeance.
So obviously, this means that even with all the cleaning we did, we sadly did not kill the eggs. What’s worse is that we can’t even use our garage because there is a literal swarm in there! Even if my stepdad opens the garage door to let them all out, overnight they regain their strength.
We decided to call an exterminator who will be coming on Thursday to check this out. Interestingly, he said others in our zip code are also experiencing this same issue, so I’m glad I’m not the only one in my area experiencing a biblical level fly infestation 😅
Still, I have no idea what kind of fly this is. Fortunately, I did manage to kill one and get a close up picture, but can anyone help me identify it please? Hope you all are faring much better than I right now lol
