The LotD Complete Checklist (CC + Item Mods) Is Now (mostly) Complete

The LotD Complete Checklist (CC + Item Mods) Is Now (mostly) Complete

The checklist is essentially 99.9% complete. Remember that there are Major Spoilers throughout every portion of this document, including things that the LotD Dev Team refrained from adding to their own wiki.

You can view the Checklist from this link: LotD Complete Checklist (CC + Item Mods)

There are numerous columns that can be sorted by clicking the Header (the single letter at the top of the column) and hitting Sort Sheet A-Z, or Z-A. This gives you the option to sort the items alphabetically by Name, Location, Related quest/lines, and even bringing items marked as Missable to the top of the list.

Make sure you select File > Make a Copy, so you can make use of the checkboxes and add your own notes wherever you wish.

The only section missing major amounts of information would be the World of Ducky entries in the Safehouse page. No articles are written on the LotD wiki, nor can I find serious amounts of information anywhere online. I feel quite lucky I was even able to get the full list of ducks at all.

The only completed section I'm not fully confident in is the Saints and Seducers portion in the Hall of Wonders. The checklist is written under the assumption all associated display patches are enabled for the Creation Club and Mods alike. Despite this, the LotD wiki has very little information regarding the items that have been altered by the Extended Cut. I've made a few assumptions based on memory, but it's been a while since I played through it, so beware of that if you get to it before I can check in game for myself.

And just for funsies, an extra page was added at the back, with the entire checklist on a single page. Why? Why not.

A major thank you goes out to the LotD Dev Team for making Legacy of the Dragonborn and all it's associated patches and projects.

A similar thank you goes out to anyone and everyone who's contributed to the wikis for LotD and the UESP. Hardcore fans like you are the reason this information can be found online at all.

My LotD Checklist has reached a milestone

I wish there was a Guide flair for posts like this.

My LotD Complete Checklist (CC + Item Mods) has reached a major milestone: The entire Main Galleries portion of the wiki has been copied over. The Daedric Exhibit Hall is done as well, and the Hall of Lost Empires is well underway.

This checklist is meant to be a resource for people like me, who have had multiple playthroughs of the full mod list, and want to actually complete the entire Museum without opening ten thousand new tabs all over the place. (and with the numbers of entries in the checklist so far, I'm starting to think that's not an exaggeration...)

There are spoilers abound on the checklist, even for things that the wiki has kept secret, such as the Scavenger Hunt riddle answers and it's sequel puzzle, and for some strange reason... the switch to open the Safehouse Treasury? Why is that a spoiler?

Every item has additional information with fully sortable columns:

  • Item name
  • Location
  • Museum display section
  • Which dlc/mod/creation it's from
  • Quests associated, even tangentially
  • Extra notes
  • Whether it can be missed and lost forever
  • A checkbox to highlight found items/activated displays

To make use of the checklist feature, you can select File > Make a Copy, and you'll have your own personal version to use and edit as you like.

The running tally of entries per page so far, subtracting the first locked line on each page:
279 lines in the Hall of Heroes/Storeroom page
381 lines in the Upper Gallery/Jewelry/Amulets of Skyrim page
277 lines in the Dragonborn Hall
124 lines in the Hall of Secrets
429 lines in the Gallery of Natural Science/Fossil Mining Room
816 lines in the Armory, wowza.
253 lines in the Daedric Exhibits + Hall of Lost Empires

2,596 total displays logged on the checklist so far. The front page says 3200 displays, so we're a staggering 2/3rds of the way done.

Mistakes are bound to happen. If they bother you at all, feel free to report them and I'll get it corrected forthwith.

While I can certainly take credit for the creation of the checklist, ALL of the information on it comes straight from the LotD Wiki (except for the bits they kept secret for some strange reason). If you appreciate the checklist, then show the devs some appreciation as well.

Update1: Finished up in the Daedric Exhibits + Hall of Lost Empires. Next up is a new page for the Hall of Oddities, though I'm gonna take a break for a few hours. It's almost time for dinner, and I've done nothing but work on the checklist for five full days now, so I'm gonna build a lego set I've had sitting since yesterday.

Update2: Done with the main section of the Hall of Oddities. Also realized I forgot the Player Home displays in the main East Exhibit Halls page, so I went and threw that in as well. Up to 123 entries in the page so far, but I'm refraining from adding that to the tally, as I plan to add the SEVEN sub pages of the Hall of Oddities in this page as well. I'm running on the current assumption that this and the Library are the last really meaty parts of the checklist, and that the safehouse plus smaller areas will be smooth sailing.

I've been working on a complete checklist for LotD and all it's associated Creation Club/Mod patches for the last few days, and I want to air out a grievance I've had building since I first discovered this a couple years ago.

It's, of course, related to the LotD scavenger hunt that begins when Auryen fixes up the Hall of Secrets for you, and leaves you a note on the door. You are then expected to follow a series of vague riddles around the museum to find all the fragments of a bust that can be displayed in the Hall of Secrets.

It's an unmarked quest, and the steps to complete the quest are entirely hidden on the wiki, thus locking out anyone who isn't smart enough/interested in solving the riddles, from ever seeing the content locked behind it, which to my knowledge, is two displayable items and one of the few Museum quests available.

My issue with this is that the riddles are relatively poorly written and hard to decipher for those who don't spend a lot of time solving riddles, combined with the fact that they've done a stellar job trying to scrub the exact information off the internet to keep people from learning about it online.

To copy/paste from the opinion written in the checklist:

These steps are hidden from the wiki for reasons of "spoilers", which is an odd choice considering the 3200+ displayable items all listed on the wiki with full spoilers attached.

The hints are extremely vague and unintuitive, and I'veheard UNCOMFIRMED RUMORS that the LotD Devs have banned people from their discord server for even talking about this.

UNCOMFIRMED RUMORS is in all caps because it's genuinely that, but still honestly entirely believable to me, considering how hard it was to even get this information for myself on my first playthrough.

I fail to understand the reason for singling out this and the amulet that's found afterward. I can understand wanting people to try first before looking up the answer, but what of the people who aren't smart enough for that?

What of the people who don't want to solve the riddle?

Should these people be locked out of entire sections of content because the dev is too far up their own ass to think these people are even worthy of it?

I just don't know. And with the idea that I'll get banned or blocked just for asking, I suppose I'll have to live with the idea that I'll never know.

And on the off chance that one of the LotD devs read this, I'm not looking for a fight. This is just my opinion, but I think your choice to purposely obscure this for the sake of it is just bad.

And it doesn't matter to me that it only affects at most two displays and a single quest. Locking portions of your content behind a REAL WORLD INTELLIGENCE CHECK is just bad design, especially if you're going to then prevent people from even talking about it.

I have to stress again that I'm not looking for a fight, and I have every reason to believe they aren't either, considering the alleged utter lack of allowance for even discussion on the matter.

I just find this sort of behavior frustrating. As I post it here, I'll be removing the opinion from the checklist. The acquisitions that they kept scrubbed from the wiki will be remaining, however.

EDIT: Added a few extra paragraphs to the early section of the post, as I realized I was missing the full actual context/grievance I had for even posting to begin with. My bad.

Edit2: A comment below has helpfully informed that there's a discussion channel surrounding the scavenger hunt available on their discord server. That alone makes this a lot less sour in my opinion, but the fact that the exact answers aren't listed despite the main story focused content of the mod itself are freely spoiled is just weird.

Good afternoon, folks. I started working on a project last, and I'd like to get some feedback.

The below link leads to a google doc spreadsheet/checklist. It only includes information copied from the Hall of Heroes wiki page for now, but the plan is to include every possible item and display added by LotD and all associated mods and creations.

Certain items are added by sources, and the LotD patch generally favors creation club variants over mod ones. In every such case (Like the Blackwater Blade), the creation club information is added while mod information is left out.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1uWJs4adekvTOL-z7bRSf-JwUi7bX1bFQqlKPEv5k0qc/edit?gid=0#gid=0

Every item has additional information with fully sortable columns:

  • Item name
  • Location
  • Museum display section
  • Which dlc/mod/creation it's from
  • Quests associated, even tangentially
  • Extra notes
  • Whether it can be missed and lost forever
  • A checkbox to highlight found items/activated displays

To make use of the checklist feature, you can select File > Make a Copy, and you'll have your own personal version to use and edit as you like.

Mistakes are bound to happen, and I'm anticipating them in the content source column especially.

Now, why did I make this? Because I don't really like the in game checklist. I've had several full playthroughs with this mod list installed and never actually come close to completing the displays. Having a tangible checklist that contains all the information I need to find and display items without having to open and close tabs repeatedly would be a great boon, in my opinion.

And of course, I have to stress that there's no shade intended toward anyone who works on the wiki. More than anything else, this checklist is a condensed adaptation of their work, stylized to my personal needs.

Update: Reception Hall, Master Projects, and Storeroom displays added in a second page.

Update2: Pages one and two are merged, so now the first page is the entire Main Gallery First Floor and Store Room. Page two will be changed over to the entire upper gallery.
