I just finished my consumer behavior final an thought it was pretty easy alongside the course in general but I just think there’s a huge problem with these exams, especially since it’s an exam-weighted course

In my opinion, there should be opportunities for part marks. About 3/4 of these exams include multiple components. Either multiple blanks separated by a semicolon in the multiple choices, or the classic (A and B are true) or even (A, B, and C are true)

This introduces the problem of an extreme amount of perfectionism you need to succeed in these exams. If I can distinctly narrow an answer down to one component/line, but I’m not too sure about the other, and I get it wrong, I just get the entire question wrong. This to me is very unfair and doesn’t truly reflect your overall knowledge about concepts. It waters it down to an all or nothing exam.

It seems too gimmicky and too demanding and I understand that it’s a requirement in university in order to add difficulty, however it’s especially harder when the answers can be subjective/interpretive in general.

It makes sense for math and Econ because you can derive answers through numbers. Here, I think it’s just demanding.
