World Trade Center Fund Question

My husband lived next to the World Trade Center during and after 9/11 and has suffered from chronic GERD/acid reflux ever since. In recent years, the condition progressed into Barrett’s esophagus, which is a pre-cancerous condition and which I recently learned may be covered under the World Trade Center Health Program.

We are now trying to gather older medical records to support the claim, but many of his doctors no longer retain records beyond 7 years. We do have more recent endoscopies from 2019 - 2026 documenting established Barrett’s disease and ongoing surveillance by his gastroenterologist.

Has anyone ever successfully received certification or coverage for Barrett’s esophagus or GERD-related conditions without having complete records dating all the way back to the early years after 9/11?

Any advice or insight on how the program evaluates these cases would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Hello everyone! I am seeking some advice and guidance from anyone who has experience with foreign rights for children's picture books.

I have written and self-published a children's picture book that has sold over 100,000 copies domestically through major retail channels. I am now exploring the possibility of selling foreign rights internationally and would love to hear from anyone who has navigated this process.

Specifically, I am wondering the following:

  • Is a foreign rights agent the best route, or can this be done independently?
  • Has anyone had success licensing a self-published title to international publishers?
  • Are there specific markets — UK, Europe, Australia — that are more receptive to holiday/seasonal children's titles?
  • Any agents, agencies, or book fairs worth targeting?

Any advice, referrals, or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

  • Has anyone had success licensing a small press-published title to international publishers?
