I read a book in 2009 about an Amish girl who’s getting ready to go through rumspringa. She has siblings. Gets up every day and works in the farm. I remember specifically in the book that she likes to make things like wreaths and goes into town with her mother to sell them. She makes extra money to buy herself an Appaloosa horse. She had to try really hard to do this while still making time for all the rest of her chores. I think she even gets into a crash at some point with the Appaloosa. Not sure if the horse survives. She goes on a river boat ride at some point.

Someone suggested “a world away” by Nancy Grossman but I don’t think it’s that one. I thought her name was Emma at first but I could be wrong.
