Normal Mode Refresh Issue ( 4.10 bios/b650 hdv )
In the latest agesa version, amd introduced new DDR5 refresh behaviors (Mixed/FGR), but many ASRock B650/B850 boards currently do not expose Normal Bank Refresh Mode.
Since Mixed mode actively uses tRFC2/tRFCsb, my previously stable DDR5 tuning became unstable after updating BIOS, resulting in TM5 errors and occasional BSODs.
What confuses me is that I already found another ASRock motherboard (X870E OC Formula) running the same AGESA generation with “Normal Mode” available and working in ZenTimings.
So this does not seem to be an AMD limitation, but rather a BIOS implementation/UI limitation depending on motherboard model.
ASUS and MSI already expose Normal/Mixed/FGR selection on AM5.
Is anyone else experiencing instability after the newer AGESA refresh changes on ASRock boards?
