So for the first time using the G7 10-day in two years, I had my first issue with it not pairing. Tried three times. Did a search and saw something about the magnet trick, so I took the tiny magnet out of the applicator and hovered it around the inserted sensor for about 10 seconds and sure enough, it asked to pair.
Just passing this along in case others run into this issue.
FYI, in case you’re like me and want the Dexcom app for iPhone to be in dark mode as the default hyper white of the app is glaring at night or in dark situations, here’s how I made my app dark.
Go to Settings > Accessibility > Per-App Settings > Add App > (Add the Dexcom G7 App) > Smart Invert (Turn to “On”)
Not perfect, and the icon is still white, but at least I can check the app in bed without lighting up the room. Hope this helps someone
