Hi everyone,
I’m applying for Msc AI at BTU Cottbus, and I wanted some honest feedback on my chances.
German GPA: ~2.9
Bachelor’s: B.Tech in Data Science & Machine Learning
I believe I match most of the ECTS requirements for many programs (CS + ML courses, some math as well)
I have a published patent (done with my professor, related to IoT-based crop disease prediction)
Currently doing a data-related internship
Also have projects in ML and deep learning
My main concern is my GPA—it’s not very strong compared to others applying.
Do German universities (especially public ones) weigh GPA heavily, or do things like projects, research, and internships help balance it out?
Also, if anyone had a similar GPA (~2.7–3.0), were you able to get admits into AI/Data Science programs?
Any advice or honest opinions would really help.
