AirPods Gen 1 with a Gen 2 model number
So, I got these from a friend a few months back. It has the model number A2698, which is Gen 2 USB-C. But it’s definitely a Gen 1 lightning. They won’t connect to my phone, and the case flashes amber five times then stops, so I’m pretty sure it’s a hardware issue and probably needs repaired. I’m just confused as to what’s up with the model number not matching up. Can someone help?
