Benq XL2586X+ washed out colours
Hello. My new monitor arrived a couple of days ago. I bought a Benq xl2586x+ to replace my old xl2546k. When I first turned it on, I immediately noticed that the picture was washed out, I would even say it was practically colorless.
I will never forget how I first turned on my old xl2546k and my eyes burned from the brightness and saturation of the picture, and on the new monitor there is absolutely no such thing. I tried everything, absolutely every mode on the monitor, cranked up all the settings to the maximum, but no matter how hard I try, I can’t burn my eyes out on this monitor.
I also really liked the sharp picture on my old monitor; the difference between Sharpness 5, 7, and 10 was colossal. On this monitor, the difference between Sharpness 1 and 10 is absolutely minimal, and even on Sharpness 10 the picture is not as sharp as on the old Benq.
I've tried settings from Donk, Zywoo, M0nesy, and many other players on this monitor, but with all of them, the picture is completely washed out. I tried downloading the ICC profile from the official website, but it didn't help. I tried a different cable from the kit, updated the drivers, but nothing helps. The picture still remains dull, not sharp, and not saturated, even though I had all of this on my old XL2546K, and I thought it would be the same here, but with a higher refresh rate.
I actually loved my previous Benq monitor for its very sharp picture, for its saturation, for the contrast that it had, the character models seemed to separate themselves from the general background and were much easier to spot it, but I tried everything on the new version of the monitor and couldn’t even come close to the same picture as on the old one.
Am I doing something wrong, or is this a completely normal feature for this monitor model?
