Kitchen rewire
Location: London
I’ve had an electrician in to rewire the kitchen ready for a new kitchen to be installed and it’s not gone well… he’s pushed for all the cables to run back to a ‘board’ behind one of the cupboards in the corner. So cables running behind the lower cupboards aren’t within the wall or go under the floor boards. (I don’t fully understand how it’ll work) is this normal?
Then near the end of day he drilled a hole and hit a water pipe. He came back the next day and replaced the broken pipe but there are now holes in the wall everywhere. What should be my next move? I’m left with a kitchen not ready to have a kitchen to be installed and holes everywhere.
Edit: added location (I’ve realised I’ve posted this very late UK time and mostly Americans will be seeing this)
I thought it’s worth mentioning this is my first property, I bought it the beginning of this year so don’t know what to expect when work is done. Appreciate everyone’s honesty!
