USA's World Cup Run so far
This may have to be in r/usasoccer, but anyway:
I just wanted to share that I love how both of our past Red Bull players, Tyler Adams and Tim Ream, have been holding down this US team in the World Cup. I wonder if a lot of you guys feel the same way and if you have other thoughts feel free to comment.
I already knew Adams is going to be a crucial player in this team, but I had to admit I had small doubts with Ream prior to the start of the World Cup due to his age. However, Ream has been awesome in this World Cup run and I'm impressed he's been able to hold our backline with his IQ plays and confidence against younger and faster opponents. Aging like fine wine, one could say.
It kind of makes me feel a bit sad again how he left us after only 2 years and we probably could've gotten another good run as a Red Bulls team before Petke's term. Also made sense as to why a club across the pond saw his potential, had interest in him quickly, and the rest is history.
