Hi there! So I’ve modified my Black Knight 6b (without touching the leg heatsinks) to have 2 L lasers (with +10 damage), and 6 medium lasers (most with +10 damage). Total alpha strike is 325, and managed to fit max jump jets and max armour.

Total heat sinking is 112 while heat produced in one alpha is 120 (I think).

The mech shuts down at 100 heat, so what happens if I fire all weapons, assuming I’m in a biome with no extra or reduced heat sinking? Does the mech instantly shut down?

Does heat sinking trigger only at the end of the turn?

Should I be fitting in exchangers to keep heat produced below the 100 shutdown limit?
