This is a news article about an anti-Muslim attack just a few hours ago from when I post this. It’s not black centered but it’s what sparked this post among the constant rise in overall anti-black rhetoric

I had the displeasure of reading Facebook comments. Holy shit

“Someone get him a beer”, “He’s doing a service to his country”, “The tables turning” it goes on and on (and those were the mild ones). This wasn’t X/Twitter which has effectively been taking over by a white supremacist. It was FUCKING FACEBOOK

I had the joy of celebrating Juneteenth here in Charlotte (University area for those familiar) and I, a grown black man who rarely shows emotion, wanted to fucking cry. Sharing food, business, talents, connections, hell even law advice, anything that you could ask for was just a few steps away. Good people, vibes, music, and unity to cover all of it. It felt like I was with long lost family. Surreal doesn’t describe it. Love transcendent

No, not all white people (who I know make up 40% of this sub because we can’t have fucking anything to ourselves) share the same thoughts of the pieces of shit who made the previous remarks, but the fact the remarks are shared openly lets me know they’re not being challenged nearly enough. Complacency as long as you’re not the target

It’s why I say what I say: Be with your own. Stay in your community. Build it up. Love and celebrate your own.

Because God knows the world has told you multiple times how it feels about you

Way to take away from the original post. The point still stands and if anything drives it home even further. The fact that the powers that be have made massive social media platforms uninviting for anybody nonwhite is a testament to the state of the country. Aside from the few minutes I spent on Facebook (and that’s on me) Im refusing to walk onto a platform that all but has the “White Only” sign on the front door
