Tale Of Just Another Stalker
New Stalker here, to both the franchise and the first game, which came highly recommend.
I absolutely see why after roughly, oh I don't know.
Maybe about 50 deaths or so. All on Novice, console.
Messed around in Cordon for hours on hours, collected gear I deemed worthy for the Garbage.
What the hell hell was I thinking!?
Long story short, I bucked up. Grabbed all my meds, a viper, and about 240 rounds, plus an extra primary in the box next to the vehicle graveyard entrance.
And I made a bloody lightshow.
5 regular nades, and maybe 4 magazines later, Bis and his men survived. Killed roughly 23 bandits.
Should've been using automatics the moment I got them, it feels like. However..
I come back a little later (irl about 15-20 minutes) to the garbage after some selling (haven't gotten to any others just yet)
And the remainder of the force I fought with is fucking dead, even though I saw the shots, I was too late.
So I gussied up, launched my own assault, and cleaned up house at a bandit camp in the southwest area of the Garbage.
Only to be tempted by an artifact that was juuust close enough to a whirligig.
And dasvadanya.
Bolts. I thought they were for distraction.
I avoided anomalies based solely on the visual and audio cues, sure I've been hit by small ones but damn.
Whirligigs are no f*****g joke.
I deserved exactly what I got for that lesson.
Point of the story is to mildly illustrate what kind of things you can expect in this game, even when you think you know better, you probably don't.
I fully intend to see this through to the end.
