I have some shows that are taking an absurd amount of room for my current server capacity. I am thinking about transcoding my 264 1080 remux files down to AV1 to try and save space. I would be batch transcoding the files using AV1 CRF 26 to try and maintain quality. My other option that I can think of to keep fidelity would be HEVC CRF 18. When looking online, people talk about this topic but in general, not with actual profiles that they would use which make a big difference. I am new to transcoding and managing a media server so any and all advice would be really appreciated
