Not sure if this is the right place for this but I am weighing up the idea of either upgrade my laptop with more ram, cpu and a new ssd to try and host a minecraft lan server for myself and my wife but dont know if an upgrade to 32gb of ram a 1tb ssd upgrade and a faster cpu would actually work and with the alternative being paying £25 a month for a server to use or £500/£600 worth of parts for the hope it would be enough 🤷‍♂️.

Any help would be massively appreciated
