I would think to call them "Sininen närhi"

But when I was trying to research what someone might say conversationally it seems that translating "blue jay" to "Sininärhi" doesn't yield the kind of bird I'm meaning.

What I'm trying to understand is: If I'm in the US, talking with a visiting family member and trying to communicate "We have a lot of blue jays living in our yard" how can I translate this particular type of bird to distinguish it from other jays/birds in Finland/elsewhere?

ETA: Beyond the general question, as a blue jay enthusiast I'd also just love to know what you'd call these birds in your language!
