Mourning dove's eggs stuck to its belly? What happened here?

I have a pair of mourning doves who've set up their nest on a cabinet in my back yard. They've already successfully raised a pair of babies from this nest.

They were a few days into round 2 when this happened. Poor bird seemed very confused about what to do and eventually just...gave up, I guess? I'm not sure what exactly happened here but it's definitely not something I've ever seen before.

Got to fly on a Brand new E175 this morning

Got to fly on this thing today. Still had the "new plane" smell. I couldn't get a pic of the interior but it had AA's updated interior. (stock photo for reference because I couldn't get one)

Yesterday was an absolute disaster at DFW so finally settling into this thing for the ride home was very welcome. Honestly, coupled with the new interior, this was more comfortable than pretty much every 737/A320 sized narrowbody I've been on, let alone other regional jets. Reasonably quiet in flight, everything felt smooth, far fewer "random hydraulic gizmo" noises than I'm used to, and my gosh was it nice to have an effective cooling system for once.

Those of you who fly often, are they always like this?
