Got a brand new Mizuno Jpx one driver, took it to the range for the first time today and after about 10 hits the drive head snaps off and flies probably 50 yards down the range. It had a project x Denali black shaft on it. After about 8 solid strikes near the center of the face I hit one on the heel, not even on the hosel. Next shot the thing flies right off. Is this common? I bought if from second swing.

I plan on buying new irons this summer and I have had my eyes set on the jpx 925 hot metals/ hot metal pros. But I know that the 927s will be coming out later this year. Does anybody know how soon prices on Mizuno irons drop after the new iterations come out? Because if they’re going to be the same price at msrp I’d probably just wait until the 927s release.
