Hey everyone, I’m still fairly new to living on my own, and I’m currently looking for my second apartment now, which I move out of my current one on May 25th. There’s a complex nearby that I do like, and while I’m not settled on it, I would like to put an application in. The problem is that… it’s 210 dollars. Now, I’m not the most experienced at this, but this seems ludicrously high to me. I found on another website that it’s split $60 as the application fee, and $150 dollars as an “administrative” fee, whatever that means. Is this reasonable, or bad enough to skip on the apartment for? Thanks for the help!

Edit: the admin fee is apparently a “holding” fee. I’m not sure if this changes much, but I only saw this once I got to the end of the application (although I haven’t submitted it yet)
