Found a soundbar listed as New in local market place. But it was not clear what it is and asked the seller said it is - Bang & Olufsen Stream TV Soundbar Pro (SKU ASK-STI6250)

Looks like an outdated model.

Anyone have experience with this.

Need simple soundbar upgrade advice for LG G4 OLED

Looking for some buying advice since I’m not very knowledgeable about audio equipment.

Current setup is a 14-15 year old Bose Solo pedestal sound system (model 410376) connected through optical cable to my 77-inch LG G4 OLED TV. Despite being old and basic, it still sounds decent to me with good dialogue clarity and enough bass for casual TV and music use.

Main reason for upgrading is that I want easier music streaming directly from my phone without needing the TV on and wanting something better.

What I’m looking for:

  1. Better sound quality than my current Bose Solo
  2. Simple one unit setup only (no sub/rears)
  3. Bluetooth and/or AirPlay style streaming from iPhone and Android, preferably both
  4. Budget around or under $1000

Room is a fairly open combined living room/kitchen space, roughly 16 x 40 with 11-foot ceilings, breakfast counter, and stairs going up/down.

Currently considering the Sonos Arc Ultra, but I honestly don’t know how much of an upgrade it would actually be compared to my current setup.

Would this be a good choice for my use case? Any other Sonos models or other brands I should also look at?

Thanks.

Looking for simple soundbar upgrade advice from old Bose Solo setup for LG G4 OLED

Hello everyone,

Looking for some buying advice since I’m definitely not an expert in this area.

Right now I am using a 14 or 15 year old Bose Solo pedestal style sound system (model 410376) with my 77-inch LG G4 OLED TV, connected through optical cable.

It’s a very simple setup, but honestly it still sounds pretty decent for what it is. Dialogue clarity is good, and it works well enough for TV watching(Netflix, Prime etc) , YouTube, music videos, etc. Nothing spectacular, but the sound is pleasant with enough bass for a basic all in one unit.

The main reason I want to replace it is because it doesn’t have Bluetooth or modern streaming capability. I want to be able to stream music directly from my phone without needing to turn the TV on first. I know I could add Bluetooth receivers or other workarounds, but I feel like this may be a good time to upgrade altogether.

My requirements are:

  1. Must sound noticeably better than my current Bose Solo for both TV/movies and music.
  2. Must support streaming music from iPhone and Android through Bluetooth or other options like AirPlay, preferably both, and I mainly use YouTube Music as my source for this.
  3. I want a very simple single unit setup only, no subwoofer, rear speakers, or surround system
  4. Budget is around or under $1000 USD

The room is also a combined living room and kitchen space that is roughly 16 x 40 with 11 foot ceilings. There is a breakfast counter separating the kitchen from the living area, and there are stairs going both up and down from this space as well. Main listening is from the living space and not from kitchen area.

Right now I am leaning toward the Sonos Arc Ultra. From what I have read it seems like it should be a substantial upgrade from my current setup.

However, since I don’t really have experience with modern soundbars or higher end audio equipment, I honestly don’t know how something like the Arc Ultra actually compares to what I currently have in real world use. So I’m looking for advice from people who may have experience with both older simple systems like mine and newer soundbars.

Am I correct in thinking this would be a worthwhile upgrade for my use case? Or is it overkill.

Also, are there other options in the Sonos lineup, or even other brands entirely, that I should consider instead? Especially if there are good alternatives at a lower price point.

Thanks in advance.
