A Reflection on Moderation (and looking for new ones)
Hello r/AceCombat,
With Ace Combat 8 on the horizon, and excitement about the older titles recently, we're looking to make some changes to the moderator team. A lot of the moderators here have been around for a long time and while waiting for the announcement of a new game, changes in our lives have made it more difficult for most of the team to be as active as the community deserves.
We're opening applications for new mods, and will be reviewing them over the following week. We are looking for people who are active, level headed, and able to interpret the rules written with interest of the community in mind. You also need to beat me 1v1 B7R. You can apply by filling out this google form. As new mods enter the team, experienced mods will review actions to make sure they're not over policing or abusing powers.
This is not for moderating the discord, which is a different team with some crossover, but not the same. This moderation role does not apply to the discord at all.
We know we haven't been a perfect mod team. Hell, we've definitely dropped the ball a few times, but we never stopped loving the franchise. I want to see the subreddit be a safe place to discuss Ace Combat during this exciting time of revivals, remasters, and new releases. Especially with Ace Combat Online on the horizon, it's about to be a very active time for us fans.
If you have any comments or questions about moderation on the subreddit, feel free to comment below.
See you in the skies.
