The study used an extension called Hyperwallet, where I chose Venmo as the payment option. I used my email which is tied to my Venmo account as the recipient of the payment. I got an email from Venmo themselves that I received the payment from the study. On this email I could click on 'accept money from xxxx' (censoring because sensitive) and when I clicked on it, it took me to a new tab where I was able to once again log in to my Venmo account. The issue is that the money is not in my account, nor does the transaction even appeared to have happened (no 'in progress' or anything). No, it's not a scam, just curious when/where the money is. First time using Venmo.
