I am currently in the final round of interviews for a role. The role is in my current home market. The final interview is next week in a completely different city. The hiring manager emailed me last week and said all of my travel expenses would be covered.

Today, she instructed me to pay for my own flight and lodging, and that I would be reimbursed.

To me, covered and reimbursed are not the same thing. Am I reading too much into it?
