I dunno, it's happened before where this contact has been offline and it switches to sms and everything was fine, but it's been a few days since we've texted and stuck like this for a few hrs. I could force to sms but then the read receipts wouldn't be on if the other person comes online again. I've also done that before. I tested on a friend's phone a while ago, when she blocked me my texts were delivered but she didn't receive them, they appeared with two hollow checks. But I don't know if different kinds of phones have different results. She could also see me texting, but received nothing. It's not worth stressing over but I find the way RCS chats work sometimes to be really odd
