Hey everyone,

I applied for an IEC Young Professional work permit back in September 2025 and I’m still waiting with no decision.

Everything is done on my side (biometrics completed, employer submitted everything, no documents requested). My status has basically just been sitting on “background verification in progress” for months.

It’s now been over 7 months, which is way past the normal processing time, and I’ve only had generic replies from IRCC saying it’s still under review.

Just wondering if anyone else has had a delay this long on IEC / Young Professional and how it eventually ended for you?
