I’ve had my hp Chromebook for about 4 years and it works fine, but sometimes (many times really) it gets stuck in tablet mode and won’t let me use the touchpad and keyboard

I can fold the screen completely and when I do it starts tablet mode, but I AM NOT doing it! The notebook is with its screen at 90° and still on tablet mode

I’ve tried basically everything, but just asking to be sure I don’t spend money on nothing: can I turn tablet mode off COMPLETELY?
