A little background information:

First of all, I know I do not make enough money to typically be able to afford a card with a $300+ AF, BUT

I am a 19 yo college student and I fly typically about 12 times a year though often more between flying to school and traveling to various locations. I also book hotels but in no consistent pattern. Over time that is a lot of points and it feels like a disservice to myself to not take advantage. I don’t necessarily care about the airline, but delta is definitely a preference as I usually fly out of Boston and do not want to pay for a carry on, or $50+ for a singular checked bag, not to mention multiple. (Pushing me slightly towards amex)

Additionally, I do not pay for my own college, so that financial pressure is off, and I am sure I could work out a deal with my parents to help me reach the SUB by putting a portion of my tuition on my card.

Another factor is that being a college student, I am 100% sure I could use all of my amex credits, and I know I could use the venture x travel credit too.

Sorry for the question as I know this gets asked a lot. I also do not care about the reputation or allure of any of these cards (cough cough amex) and am definitely open to other suggestions
