Desktop computer crashes repeatedly, now unable to find windows or install?
*Quick informal list of events:*
- owned pc with windows 10 installed for about 6 years
- started crashing frequently with "WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR"
- check CPU temps (40 C)
- check RAM (memtest ran perfectly)
- events log appeared to just state "shut downed unexpectedly", was unable to find/understand more than that (pic included)
- computer would be trapped in a wierd cycle where it would fail to launch, state it couldn't find the BIOs launch files, and then launch perfectly with zero issues.
- played Victoria 3 for a bit, game would run fine, but would crash with WHEA when saving
- eventually computer stopped booting into windows entirely
- attempted to fix with thumb drive
- start-up repair didn't work
- computer has two drives, a 256GB SSD (C: with windows installed) and 1TB HDD (D: storage drive)
- clean install of windows 10 from USB says drive that previously held windows (C) is empty (unallocated space). Throws 0x80070057 when attempting install, also insists the 1TB HDD is the primary drive
- Click BIOS 5 Board explorer shows SSD as connected.
- tried bootrec/rebuildBCD on cmd, cant find a windows install
- can still get into BIOS, but seems to be impossible to get into windows.
*PC Specs:*
CPU: Intel Core I5-4800
GPU: Nvidia GTX1060 6GB
RAM: 32GB DDR4 Corsair CMK32GX4M2D3600C18 (two sticks)
Mother Board: MSI B360M PRO-VD
SSD: 256 GB ADATA SX6000NP (located on mother board)
HDD: 1 TB WD10EZEX
POWER SUPPY: Cooler Master Elite V3 500W
