My husband and I have been together for 8 years, I own our house. My brother in-law(younger than my husband) has lived with us for 4 years, he’s not a bad roommate, fairly quiet, pays rent on time, doesn’t clean up behind himself much, although he doesn’t usually make huge messes either. I’m tired of living with a 3rd wheel and I’m to the point where I can barely stand it. My husband and I agreed to wait until we meet some financial milestone in approx a year before we ask him to move, but meanwhile I’m miserable and having trouble distracting myself from the situation, while I also don’t want to be the jerk who is like no, he has to go. Am I being unreasonable? Why or why not?
