Pleasantly surprised by Aldi

In light of the Lidl plus fuck up I thought I would try Aldi.

See myself going to Aldi more going forward. Not only has the Lidl plus shit show been disappointing but I noticed a lot of the regular stuff I would had been slowly changing, getting worse, getting less or more expensive. Usual price grabbing activities.

Enjoyed the different variety in Aldi and what I got seemed to be better quality that the equivalent from Lidl.

Will be back to Lidl on the odd occasion for the bakery but other than that they can get stuffed

Inheritance Tax Reference Number

Hello,

My dad passed away at the end of last year and I have appointed a solicitor to help deal with the estate. I am the executor of the will and the sole beneficiary of the estate.

They solicitor told me before they can apply to the courts for Grant of probate (confirmation) they need to get an Inheritance Tax Reference Number from HMRC, I was told this takes about 2-3 weeks. It's been four weeks and now the solicitor is telling me that HMRC are so backlogged that it will take 16 weeks to get the reference number.

There is nothing online about this increased wait time, states 2-3 weeks on the HMRC website. Anyone going through a similar process able to confirm or deny that the backlog is 16 weeks?
