Period delaying tablets advice - Mental health

So last year i had provera to delay my periods. after the holiday i suffered badly with depression, i had only taken the tablets for a few days while i was on the holiday so i am genuinely so surprised with the toll it’s had on me. it feels like it’s completely changed the writing in my brain. After doing some researched i figured out before they prescribed me the tablet they was meant to ask if i had previously had any mental health issues. i had issues years ago when i was young but have been recovered for about 2 years and it was also on my record ive had a suicide attempt. Anyway they hadn’t asked any questions like that and i’m surprised it wasn’t flagged on my file.

To cut to the chase i’m due on holiday again next month and ofc my period is smack bang due when i am on holiday and i suffer with periods quite badly so do not want to be having my period if i can avoid it. Does anyone know of any alternative tablets that are less likely to make me have depression again. I still have bad days and certain things trigger it, every time i get depressed it lasts a few weeks and every time i recover better than the last but i dont want to go back to the start and have to work through things all over again because it was one of the worst times in my life.
