Damon taking Elena for granted
So I’m at the end of season 5. I have watched the whole thing but I was a teenager and now I’m an adult with very different opinions than my teenage self.
I’m not a Delena lover and the main reason is because Damon wanted Elena from the start and he finally gets her and is constantly breaking up with her and icing her out because they don’t work blah blah blah.
So why be with her in the first place?
He’s known her for a few years now and knew that he’s not good for her get he still pursued her and now he has her he’s being so inconsistent whilst Elena is left chasing after him.
Like if you’ve wanted this girl for years and you finally get her you do everything you can to just be with her and be happy.
Stefan and Elena never had those problems it was pretty much smooth sailing, they were ready for each other and good for each other so this is why Delena makes no sense for me. I think it should have been a moment of passion but then Elena should have found her way back to Stefan. That’s what makes sense to me. Delena just doesn’t seem right.

I’ve just remembered the doppelgänger prophecy which is just more proof that Delena should not have worked. It was always supposed to be Stefan and Elena the universe said so.
