Persistent BIOS after UEFI/CSM change and CMOS reset.
I’m at my wits end with BIOS as my PC worked just fine two days ago. It hasn’t had any issues in the past year. I’ve reset the OC settings and tried to change the setting from UEFI to CSM. BIOS keeps reverting to UEFI mode as if my changes never saved. I reseated the components and cleared the CMOS jumper. I don’t think the CMOS battery is dead because the date and time are tracking. The bootdisk (M2_1 990), RAM, and CPU are detected in BIOS. The boot order is correct. The NVMe SSD self-test found no errors. I tried reorganizing the boot order to a flashdrive with windows disk repair utility to attempt a repair anyways, but BIOS and the boot order reset to the M2_1 SSD.
Does anyone have any recommendations before I attempt a fresh install of Windows? None of the historical posts were helpful.
