Question on Acts 2
When it is being described that many in the crowd are each hearing their native tongue and become interested in the message of the gospel(1-13). Peter responds to the criticism from a few in the crowd who say in 13 "they have had too much wine". His response in 15"These people are not drunk as you suppose. It is only nine in the morning".
My question is who is Peter referring to? If it is the apostles then why isn't Peter saying "We are not drunk since it is only nine in the morning". Could he possibly be referring to the crowd who is able to understand the gospel in their own tongue? Because to me it might make sense that the mockers are pointing to the crowd possibly being drunk. Or am I just confusing something that is simple?
