Joshua Vides
Finally got both pieces from the G-SHOCK x Joshua Vides collab.
DW-6900JV-1 on the left.
DW-5600JV-7 on the right.
What I love about this drop is that Casio didn’t just slap an artist name on the packaging and call it ‘creative direction’ like half the fashion industry does after two iced coffees and a moodboard. Joshua Vides’ comic-sketch style is actually integrated into the entire design language of both watches.
The 6900 looks like graffiti and street culture punched the classic G-Shock DNA in the face.
The 5600 looks like a hand-drawn cartoon prop that somehow became real.
Same collab. Completely different energy.
Honestly one of the most fun limited G-Shock releases in years.
