I played through Onimusha: Warlords and Genma Onimusha at the same time with the same controller

A friend recently showed me a way to connect a controller to a console and PC at the same time and challenged me to beat two Onimusha games of my choosing at the same time with a single controller, so I picked Onimusha: Warlords and Genma Onimusha since it's the only real example in the series of two versions of the same game having significant differences. A tough challenge, but still quite a fun new way to play through the games!

Finally managed to get through all 3 games on Insanity!

As someone that is used to Normal Difficulty, there were a fair few moments that I thought were going to be significantly tougher than they turned out to be. Ended up going through all 3 games as a Paragon Soldier since that's what I'm used to. Ended up learning a fair few things as I went through each game.

Mass Effect 1: This was by far the easiest of tye three with only 6 total deaths. It certainly helps that biotic abilities are ridiculously overpowered, so missions where Liara, Kaiden and Wrex were around were far easier. Outside of that, Sniper Rifles with a high fire rate turned out to be VERY helpful, though not because of the damage. About 3 headshots in quick succession ended up flooring an enemy, so I just knocked enemies to the ground and moved onto the next to make firefights less chaotic and easier to survive. That alongside taking Barrier as my extra power certainly helped survivability.

Mass Effect 2: This definitely had some of the most frustrating sections like Horizon and the Collector Ship. Taking Energy Drain as my extra power certainly made things easier, especially in Geth-based missions. First time I actually picked the Widow Sniper, and man that that thing is stupidly powerful. Interestingly, I found Zaeed of all people to be the best squadmate in missions involving synthetics purely due to being the only squadmate that has Disrupter Ammo. Mix that with me also using maxed Disrupter Ammo and most synthetics get disabled before they can do anything. I'm honestly surprised at how easy the Reaper IFF mission was with the searm of husks at the end. I just waited for my squadmates to drop and just train them around the area until they all bunched together. Only reason that section took 2 attempts is because one Husk glitches out of the room and I couldn't hit him, so the core wouldn't open.

Mass Effect 3: Garrus. Just Garrus. Good lord, his damage output with the N7 Typhoon is outright BIBLICAL. Outside of that, I took Energy Drain again which was just universally useful. Outside of that, I honestly just hard-focused Incindiary Ammo and Concussive Shot to make everything explode. Call me simple, but I justove detonating ene ies like that every 5 seconds. The only major roadblock I had was right at the end with Priority: Earth where you need to survive infinitely respawning Banshees and Marauders until you can fire the missiles. Pretty sure the majority of my deaths came from that mission.
