This is my 5'x8' aluminum utility trailer, scaled down to 1:16 in all aspects. The frame is scaled 2x6 aluminum tube, top deck is scaled 2x6 pine board. Just need some better non toy wheels, axel height adjustment and a hitch receiver for the truck!

Just getting started in the hobby.

Picked up a WPL c24-1 to get my feet wet. Already looking in to upgrades and getting a bit overwhelmed. Can I assume that most aftermarket parts are all the same? Just rebranded under different resellers? Also, did I make a mistake by going 1/16 scale? Should I jump straight into 1/10 or micro, Am I in a shallow pool for upgrade parts?

Water damage ?

Update after 9 hours. I have only drained 6% ... . It seems to be back to normal !?

For some reason I did not take my Pebble 2 Duo off when I went for a swim the other day... Checked it a few times and it was fine and then when I got out of the pool I realized the screen was off.

It wouldn't turn back on, randomly turned on later that night for about a few minutes and then died.

Definitely assuming it's water damage, The battery has probably shorted and there's maybe corrosion or causing a short to drain the power or I've just damaged the battery cell. Was curious about the glowing corners in this photo above? Does that indicate damage to E ink display like it would in LCD?

Every morning I charge it and it's been slowly getting less and less uptime, seems to die around noon at this point and get a solid 4 hours
