Finally!
I finally got a nice photo of my girls hanging out together and behaving!
Such a brief moment, in between the usual squabbles and chaos, some one facing the wrong way, light's no good, blurry, bad background, etc etc etc lol

Lucky for me this form of exotic pet is not allowed in my state,
💕
So far so good, still keeping them separated but they like to sit near each other and eat together
Sorry about the video quality. Had to zoom/ crop from the other room or she'd stop
My first bird Ducky knows something is going on and she is clingy AF, And sometimes screams continually for up to 2 hours 😭
New bird Poppy sat on my shoulder briefly for the first time today 😊
It's really hard to give them each an adequate amount of attention around work. A couple times I've actually had to lock Ducky in her cage because she refused to let me leave the room
The vet said my new timid bird is losing weight too fast, so she has temporary permission to have nutriberries and seeds into her daily diet just to make sure she's eating enough. It's a win-win because she'll eat them from our hands which should help get her used to us despite the twice a day bird burrito treatment for antibiotics 😊
(I say temporary because she is overweight and maybe fatty liver)
I've had her less than 24 hours and she's already up to shenanigans
This lovely lady was relinquished to the bird shop, because her owner went away to college and the mother didn't want or couldn't take care of her any more. Don't know her name or how old she is. She's no longer hand friendly since no one's handled her in a while, but she accepts her fate when picked up. She cannot currently fly properly as her wings are "very clipped" and she's overweight so no seeds allowed. I paid for her and she'll be coming to her new forever home on Friday.
I look forward to seeing her settle in and blossom into the friendly flighted bird she will become with us 💕
The white bird turned out to be male, so I transferred my deposit and purchased this bird. They think she's about 4 to 6 years old but they're not sure, her human girl went to college, and the mother couldn't or didn't want to take care of her anymore so she relinquished her to the shop. She's so pretty, I was really surprised that she was still available. She's been nipped at by some of the other birds that she's caged with, thus the little bald spot back there. She's not hand friendly any more but she accepts her fate peacefully when the staff grabs her, so I think she'll be fine when she settles in and learns that she's safe. She will be coming to live with us in one week! :-)
Thinking about names, suggestions welcome 😊

Flock would then total 2 or 3. All female cockatiels.
My bird, plus some shop babies for bird tax 😊
