We found our best creator in the comments
So one eve I was just scrolling through comments on one of our competitor's tiktok posts and there was this creator just going back and forth with people, like actually answering questions and giving insightful replies about the product and being genuinely helpful....
and yeah it made me curious so I clicked on their profile and to my surprise they weren't huge or anything like that, maybe 30k followers, but their comment section was always packed with people asking them stuff and they always responded back, and what I felt it that they have a very strong connection with their audience instead of just posting and disappearing.
so obviously I messaged them and was like hey I saw you in the comments talking about this stuff, would you want to try our product, no pressure or anything and they said yeah sure and I sent it over.
cut to when they posted, it was literally so different from everyone else like they actually talked about problems they had with other products and explained why ours was better and this was I guess one of the very first moments for me where even I thought that this is a non-promotional video....
and as I expected the sales from that one video beat videos from creators with way more followers, like five times the followers and they still didn't come close, and it is like when people believe you about what you are saying and don't think that it's an ad, I guess then only you can bring that valuable customer base via a video.....
It has been a week now and my creator outreach has totally changed now, I now have started looking for creators in the comments of competitor posts which is weird at first but trust me it has really some potential...
Strange right, turns out some of the best creators aren't the ones trying to be famous, they're just hanging out having real conversations with people who actually value what they say.
