This close to crashing out, the job market is so cooked and I'm stuck feeling hopeless

Hi everyone,

Honestly not sure if this is the right subreddit to post to (I'm a newbie). But I just really wanna express my frustration and anger towards the current job market especially in my field.

I'm a Registered Psychologist (RPsy), passed the boards in 2023 and have been working in both the academe & clinical field. However, due to recent changes in management sa main work ko (which is in a school), I am left feeling like all the years I've spent serving the institution was for nothing, and I realized that I'm easily replaceable if I don't follow their new mandates (looking at you HR, grabe na talaga ang galit ko sayo sa totoo lang haha). I'm now contemplating on jumping ship and leaving this relatively stable job that I've had for almost a decade and now actively looking for a new workplace.

But the thing is, sobrang hirap ng job market ngayon. I don't know if its just me and my job searches not giving me the right leads but grabe, its been almost a month of sending out my resume kung saan saan pero kahit sa experience ko na RPsy for 3 years, RPm for 8, and extensive clinical experience, di parin makakuha ng work. It's surprising nga kahit andami na ng problema sa Pilipinas na need ng mental health intervention eh di ako makapaghanap ng work.

I feel so hopeless kase I don't want to stay with my current employer for reasons of work environment, but I don't want to let them go yet kase I have no job offers ahead of me. Hindi ako religious pero tangina nakapag simba ako kanina kase I've been sending out emails everyday pero kahit isa walang bumabalik. Ang hirap na Lord, di ko na kaya 😔 Gusto ko nang sumuko kase every day grabe ang micromanagement ni current employer, na hindi naman ganito before the new change in leadership. Ayoko na talaga to work for an institution that doesn't value loyalty and hardwork, at sasabihan ka lang na "yan na talaga ang new mandates natin, mag follow ka nalang wala na tayong magagawa" sobrang frustrating at nakakagalit sa totoo lang.

Anyway, thank you if you read until this part, I guess I just needed to be reminded na I'm still on the right path kahit na sobrang liit na ng hope ko na magiging maayos ang career ko after this. Gustong gusto ko na mag render ng resignation pero I can't, kase wala pang tumatanggap sakin. :( Give me a sign Lord kahit ano na nasa tamang path parin ako 😔

English-speaking psychologist looking for a job in Japan

Hi everyone!

I’m a licensed and practicing mental health therapist/ psychologist in the Philippines, and I’m looking for opportunities to move to Japan and potentially work for an English-speaking clinic. My background includes providing counseling for adults and families, with my main approach being Solutions-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).

I would appreciate any leads or referrals if there any, or if you’ve had a similar experience as well. I'm also curious if you've had an experience reaching out to Engish-speaking therapists/clinics in Japan, and how that experience went. I'd be glad for any input from the group!

Thank you so much!
