LSU NO seems to be necessary progression

We moved our daughter in this week and I must comment on what we have seen for several days we have been on campus

It is quite obvious that the University of Louisiana was failing UNO ™ through the obvious deprecation of campus quality and services and support.

Our daughter came down with severe cramping. It was at this point that we find out from her RA that the campus does not have any medical facilities or services available because the contract lapsed with their medical provider. They’re directing all students to travel over 2 miles to the closest urgent care which is not affiliated with the school and is not covered by tuition cost, which is standard.

We also have been struggling with the parking pass validations. Apparently the system contract that ended over eighteen months ago and LSU was fighting to get the new system up in place.

The condition of the campus is about 70% operational. There are so many things that need to be done regarding landscape and building maintenance. I know it’ll take time for the LSU funding to make an impact.

If you’re a student at UNO prior to this semester, my heart breaks for you. It is very obvious LSU intervention was absolutely necessary.

The guilt subsides

I have been in the game for 15+ years building my Jellyfish server to enourmus levels for me. My wife once asked if I ever felt bad about taking content without paying.

I did have some small reservations but as things in society shift, costs of streams go up, and Hollywood produces lower tier shit, I am growing comfortable.

When I really like a show or band or actor, I will support the through various means. I still pay for a few services and continue to use low value content directly.

A new wrinkle was added to my thoughts. There are several actors that I really enjoy that are avowed Scientologist, some who are MAGA, and some who just seemed like genuine shit. However, the content they produce in the art that we get for it is where I feel comfortable taking that content for my use. I also rail against the machine that takes content and forces the consumer to bend to their prices and marketing factors.

Total old man yelling at clouds situation I appreciate.

What are your thoughts?

P2 '24 Lease return concerns

My 2024 Pro/Plus P2 is due in late January 2027. My local space has been requesting that I start the process in November and expect to return the car in December. They frame it as a deal for me because they have high demand for my car and they want my lease return early.

I am reading it as they want it back before year's end for obvious reasons. The Space management does not want to extend business any further than they currently are and feel uneasy about what the 27 transition in the US will look like.

I am curious what owners with lease returns in 2027 will find.
