Bad crown

I am at a loss with my current dentist and unsure what to do. My very front tooth has had a lot of work done at 16 years old I killed the tooth and had a root canal done. After that to get the coloring right I decided to have a veneer put on. Of course with my luck I chipped the veneer.

I went to my now local dentist and they told me that the only way to fix it was to put a crown on. The crown was the wrong material and made the tooth look dark. Plus the shape was completely off. Remember this is my front tooth and I would like them to look nice.

Recently I told them that I did not like the shape and color and they said I could get it redone but there was a “small” chance that there would not be much of my original tooth left over and I might need an implant. Well again with my luck when the dentist was removing the crown my tooth cracked. I feel as though the dentist was to aggressive with the tooth but of course I can’t see anything so I am uncertain of that. When the assistant was talking to me she explained that there was a 50/50 chance of this happening. Which would have been nice to know from the beginning. I was told before there should be no problem getting this done. Now they are sending me to a specialist to have an implant done. I will also most likely need a bone graft. Which would need 3 months to heal. The problem is I am supposed to get married in 4 months and am worried about using any professional these people recommend. Plus I would like some compensation for the damage that has been done. As of right now they put a temp crown on (which is STILL THE WRONG SHAPE).

Needless to say I am very unhappy and would not like to pay an arm and a leg for something they messed up from the beginning. Is this bad dental work or am I just unlucky? What would be the best course of action after this?
