I recently got laid off without cause from a Tech company. Worked here for 4yrs 4m.
The offered a severance package of 15wk salary, 5wk of benefits coverage that’s it. I have quite some RSUs vesting that will all stop. The deadline to sign is in a week.
From what I heard the company usually offers 3-6m pay so this seems to be on the lower side. Would speaking to a lawyer get me a chance of getting a better offer or would that backfire and not worth it?
Would appreciate any advices here.
