I just did an EXTREMELY fun challenge. I call it "It's hard for a little green guy"
Skarsnik very hard/very hard,
You CANNOT recruit normal lords. You can ONLY use the following lords (If you can get them) AND they must follow these army restrictions:
Skarsnik- Goblin and Squig units only
Raknik Spiderclaw (research) - Spiders and spider riding units only
Oglok the 'Orrible (research) - Non-black Orcs only
Grimgor/Azhag/Gorbad - Orcs Only
Wurrzag - Savage Orcs, Trolls, Giants, River Troll Hags only
Grom - Rock lobbers and pump wagons only
- Waaah armies themselves can have whatever units appear in them
- Each army can have 2 Rogue Idols, to represent Mork and Gork, and by tier 5 you earned it
- You set endgame crisis to trigger on turn timer range 80-100, and enable the possibility for it to be vampires, chaos dwarves, or wood elves
Your win conditions are:
Karak Eight Peaks Defiled Ancestor Tomb Built (Tier 5)
All greenskins confederated or destroyed
Eliminate: Clan Agrund, Reikland, Wissenland and Nuln and Nuln, and Karak Kadrin
Eliminate the Crisis factions
This is like playing with a strict army cap, but to increase your cap you're having to confederate. And it makes Karak Eight Peaks actually important- you won't be able to do much with your Orc lords without it. Also hero actions become important, you need a lotta "One Orc Armies"
The progression and challenge was extremely satisfying and thematic, fighting skin and teeth with goblin tactics scheming for Eight Peaks, eventually transitioning to a kind of non-snowballing collection of unique high rank, mega scrap upgraded doomstacks of mediocre base units
