I have a BA in Poli Sci, and the job market at this level of education is horrible. Virtually no jobs, or even interviews, everything is gone in a matter of days.

So I did the thing, i applied to grad school at George Washington University and got into their Masters in Political Management.

I don’t have any scholarships, and my current plan is to go online for the first semester and live with my boyfriend to save money before moving to DC. I’m only getting $20k/year from FAFSA. The total program cost is $75k and done in 2 years. I’m considering extending the program to 3 years so I don’t have to take out much in private loans.

Anyway im so worried the degree isn’t worth it and I’ll be stuck in crippling debt. I have about $18k from undergrad already.

I’m worried the job market will worsen and I won’t be able to pay it off. If I didn’t get into grad school, I was going legitimately going to save for 6 months and travel and hopefully find another country to live in. I don’t know how much longer I can do this if grad school doesn’t pan out.

Don’t get me wrong, I’ve got a good head on my shoulders and I’m hard working but I’m worried that’s no longer enough.

Does anyone have this degree and can guide me? Or currently in this program? Any advice on DC job market?

Please give me some STANDALONE book recommendations! NO cliche prose, please some good writing!

I’m looking for dark unique books where the fmc goes through TRAUMA on page. Would love an abusive mmc, some non con, could be violent enemies to lovers, maybe she’s SA’d by mmcs enemy, has a miscarriage or tries to kill herself. I love when mmc kidnaps fmc, breakers her down mentally, and conditioners her to be the most warped companion to him (servitude to serpents was a 5/5 recent read). I love the toxic stuff too, maybe there’s a betrayal of some sort (no cheating though).

I want to be put through the wringer but wrap it up in a HEA! Bonus points if it’s MAFIA.
