Nausea in the morning - waking up due to it

Hey everyone

I’m on my 3rd month of Mounjaro (2 of 2.5 and just done my first jab of 5mg). I haven’t been having super bad side effects just the occasional nausea and stuff.

But since I started taking Mounjaro VERY occasionally I would wake up very early in the morning with a sudden wave of nausea. I usually force myself back to sleep but sometimes I do go to the toilet and you know #2. I usually feel much better then. I have changed my diet so I am not eating fast food but specifically last night I ate air fried salmon and tofu. Is that a cause of nausea?

I only am asking for advice since it’s waking me up. It ruins my sleep and I can’t sleep properly after that and I am hoping to see if there are more people who experience this and have any solutions or if this is not normal?

Blurry? vision

My GPtold me that mounjaro could cause vision issues. I have quite some health anxiety so I keep overthinking every small thing. I do have astigmatism which causes some fuzziness/blurriness. Has anyone had vision issues cause them to stop mounjaro and how blurry was it? I can’t tell if my vision is considered blurry. I can read things perfectly fine (e.g. texts on my phone, subtitles on the tv) and it is mostly like this at night or when i am tired. Not sure if i’m just quite tired recently? I’m kinda freaking out. I have an appointment tomorrow to talk about upping my dose so I’ll bring it up then but I just can’t sleep thinking about it.

I also was feeling my stomach (slightly under my belly but above my thigh area/ under my fat pouch?? lol) and i felt a tiny ball like lump. It wasn’t painful and I could move it slightly. It feels like lymph nodes I have in my neck/jaw but I wanted to know if anyone has experienced something similar?

Halloween

I’m on my second month of mounjaro (2.5mg) and since Halloween is coming up, I’ve been invited to a party. It’s supposed to be a pre’s before clubbing that night. I haven’t drank any alcohol since starting mounjaro and I’ve never really been a big drinker. Maybe gotten drunk like 2-3 times. How did you guys go with drinking on mounjaro? I‘m scared since I’ve heard mixed opinions on hangovers, side effects and more.

Help pls

Um….. so….. Today is my fourth injection and I did everything - leave it out for 15 mins to get to room temp, dose (i forgot if that’s the word), and then inject but since it’s my fourth one I expected the liquid to be empty once I injected but there is still some left… Looks to be at least one injection worth of liquid… Did I do something wrong? I did kind of feel like the mounjaro wasn’t ‘working’ this past week as I felt hungry and could stomach sweet things. Is this concerning? Maybe I just didn’t inject it properly so the liquid didn’t come out? I’m sure the liquid came out today as the liquid inside the pen went from about halfish to like a quarter full.

I’m scared.. should i be?

Tips?

Honestly just asking for general feedback, this isn’t a specific question.

I started mounjaro on Saturday 8th. By today I’ve lost 2KGs but I feel exactly the same, no ‘lighter’ feeling or less inflammation or whatever. But I had super bad headaches Monday- Wednesda and I was SO exhausted I slept from 4PM to 7AM.

But the thing is, I have also just started my uni placement where I am at a school from 8AM- 3PM meaning I am up by 7AM. I am also on my feet all day and obviously being a uni student this is my first real experience of a full time job. I’m not sure if this is causing my fatigue and headaches and lack of desire to eat or if it’s the mounjaro. I will be on this placement for 4 weeks so hopefully I get some tips to help improve my performance.

I never really ate breakfast before so I try to start my day with one egg and a few sips of water and then my mum packs me some sort of sandwich or wrap with apples and during the week I have only really managed to eat the apple and a few bites of the sandwich which I had to force myself because I really didn’t feel like eating. And for dinner I’ve eaten nothing since I fell asleep once I’m home. This causes lightheadness but that’s quite normal for me (low iron maybe?).

Yesterday I think my appetite started to come back slightly because I craved a nut bar so I bought some carmen’s protein nut bars and a protein coffee to try. Today I finish half my wrap and one slice of apple at lunch and craved the nut bars so I ate one.

My water intake is also quite low. I know I’m supposed to get like 2L or something but my bottle is 0.65L and I don’t even get through it throughout the school day. I dont want to sound like a child but I don’t like tap water so it’s quite difficult to refill my bottle when my water filter is at home and I can’t necessarily run back home to fill my bottle. Tips?

Also I don’t have stomach pains but I have not done a number 2 in a while. Should I take something for this or wait until it hurts? And my jab spot has kind of started bruising, no pain though.

Any tips are helpful!

Mounjaro first dose

Hi

I just did my first jab of 2.5 mounjaro today and I was so nervous so I watched a YouTube tutorial.

I followed the steps of ‘priming’ and everything but when I was injecting it, I noticed it was really hard to push all the way down (dunno if i’m weak or if maybe i was scared to since the needle was inside my belly and i didn’t want to hurt myself), is this normal? When i pulled out the needle I pushed down the top to see if it was a me problem or if it just doesnt push down fully but it went down and a little drop of liquid came out. Any tips on pushing down fully so that I don’t waste another drop next time??

Also in the youtube video it said to prime before every dose so do i put it on 0 and then prime and then twist to 2 next time?

Its been about an hour and I just feel slightly light headed and sore on the injection site but other than that feeling good!!

Laufey perth standing

Hey guys

My sister and i are going to laufey this saturday but i have a shift before (im trying to move my finishing time to 12) but she wants to line up early as i know its a hit or miss with barricade /good view. What is your opinion on her saving my spot in the queue until I get there after work? Not sure if perth does numbering and the attitude towards spot saving (it’s just the two of us aswell).

We would have spot save to get merch aswell anyways and also pay for parking. Let me know!

We are also both short so having good view is quite important to us as i’m sure it is for others aswell.
